Broken Heart Poem by Heidi Fiore

Broken Heart

Wow. So this is what it feels like to have a broken heart
I can feel it, its still there, beating that pathetic rhythm of its
That constant pounding: a continual reminder that life goes on
But at this moment, why should life go on?
Without a true heart, what is the point of life?

Thump, thump, thump,
It continues on and on
Thump, thump, thump, thump,
Never ceasing, never changing.
Thump, thump,
With every beat, my stomach quivers
Will this ever come to an end?

I’m in pain, I feel ill,
But there’s no cure, no pill.
The drug I need,
Has been taken away,
This feeling is with drawl,
I wither away.

Until now I’m nothing,
I’m empty in side.

As hollow as the empty promises of love that had been made.
Unfortunately, these feelings don’t seem to fade.
I bide my time, with every passing hour,
My thoughts are with you, you hold all of my power.

You have done it well to express your pain.. As hollow as the empty promises of love that had been made. Unfortunately, these feelings don’t seem to fade. I bide my time, with every passing hour, My thoughts are with you, you hold all of my power life is more than a love affair. time wil come and u will find a greater love.
