Broken Heart Poem by Kaylee Powell

Broken Heart

When the kiss of a blade is so enticing
When your darkness is so enlightening
You see the evils that within you dwell
Realize you live in hell
Every breath another internal fight
Your hand grips the blade so tight
Against your skin you lightly press
Hoping now for eternal rest
Crimson tears flow from your vein
The monster inside you, you have slain
Cold and white you are found
Laying face down on the ground
Eyes glazed over, lips apart
You are now freed from your broken heart
