Broken Strand Of My Heart Poem by Visato Kiso

Broken Strand Of My Heart

The beep on the talking machine;
The texts that kill'd the smiles on my face;
The shock on the flickering morning meadow;
You shot the heart of a true soul.

For the next night was a sleepless one;
How those sweet memories of the promis'd life
Echo'd and dangl'd on my bleeding heart;
How'd a small heart can hurt so much?

For they said, everyone hath loved someone;
And I assur'd my soul, I'd been loved.
But you've set your love onto another;
And I knoweth now, I was just your game;
But in calmness, I realis'd, 'tis not you;
For in stupidity, I let myself to be a fool.

Sometimes, I wish I could've known;
Sometimes, I want'd to curse and swear;
Sometimes, I want'd to stay wasted;
But no. That's not me in myself,
So I've forgiven you in good regards.

For the Good Book taught the better of me;
That the way of love that begets love;
And I shall never cease to seek true love.
