He willed the hands of the clock to stop
And held that stillness in his head
All the space of the universe
Collaborated to receive
The descent of wisdom
In his waiting being
The earth shook and the universe rejoiced
That at last a man – the first of his kind
Had mastered and moved beyond
The deception of time
