Bugs I View Poem by Dian Barnett

Bugs I View

MOSQUITOS love each part of me.
I am a gourmet treat.
But most of all and best of all,
they like to TAP my feet!

The common FLY is much maligned.
Observe him closely, you will find
he is considerate and neat
and always stops to wipe his feet!

A busy author is the SNAIL.
He writes through sun and gloom,
then signs himself upon my walk
In silvery nom de plume.

Each time the TERMITE takes a bite
It's purposeful and dual;
to satisfy his appetite
And advance urban renewal.

The CENTIPEDES one man parade
depends upon precision.
How fortunate that nature made
the very wise decision
to have it firmly, clearly stated
that all his feet be syncopated,
for it would really be a bummer
if some marched to a different drummer!
