Bumblebee In the Bush
Bumblebee in the bush
What be your fondest wish?
A sweet delicate flower,
Or maybe a gentle summer shower -
Perhaps a mild breeze
Flowing through the trees,
To blow you away far
Closer to some shinning star -
No, ofcourse not; for now
You've much work to do.
So continue buzzing to and fro,
With such purpose in where you go -
Yet I must wonder, at night in your quiet sleep
Could possibly there be a dream for even an insect to reap?
Perchance all of life's deepest quest
Involves finding that wonderous place, of eternal rest -

I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings

I believe the quest may be the same for all living creatures. Excellent poem!
This is a fantastic write, wonderfully composed and what a great poetic question posed!
great write I have so many of them around our place, wasps, bees, hornets, an infinite variety and all so industrious.
Bees are so so important to our environment, we need to look out for them - great poem.
Got stung by this one!
Loved the poem!
and they have souls too! good one.
