By and bye like stepping stones
Skipping through longitude
They disappear into the distance
Just as I've feared us too
Noticing that silly arch across your face
Simple thoughts are pleasant
But bye and by push in haste
A sudden halt need absence
Almost there, half way into the river
The pebbles getting smaller
I'm waiting for the current, I wither
And you always say forever
Washed away and melted stones
Like my heart against the timber
The fear sails off by and bye alone
Alone like gone, I'm here, I'm gone
