By His Glory Poem by R B Seals

By His Glory

Heavy is the heart in pain as one
Breathes forth the anguished sigh,
Recalling gifts of self and sacrifice
As all who knew her ask, 'why! '

This is the cost we share: blessed
And cursed beyond confines of day;
The sentence we carry for all she
Gave, that heaven has taken away.

Resigned, we move to understand,
To accept and sadly, to say goodbye
To one so impassioned, whose love
Warmed and raised our hearts to sky.

Grateful, we offer thanks unbounded for
The life she lived having given so much:
Spreading her unique brand of humanity,
Bringing comfort to all she touched.
