By The Banks Of Limpopo

Rating: 5.0

By the banks of Limpopo
There we sat as we meditate our sorrows
Our eyes set upon our motherland
The land we love and call home
But couldn't cross over because of the angry river
How long shall we wait for death to come our way

Behind us are only woes and tears
Our loved ones crying as they burn alive
Some have lost their lives, many have lost hope
Guns are firing, stones are flying
Woe to us our souls are being hunted

By the banks of Limpopo
We stood and admired the beauty of our motherland
But couldn't cross over because the river was angry
But couldn't cross over because our brothers were not friendly
