By The Wayside 2 Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Rating: 4.5

A letter to the King of Salem,
My success today is all about endurance;

To the first veil,
Every person is loved by somebody;

To the second veil,
With the blood of bulls and goats;

To the third veil,
To be led away like a prize!

Men of blood,
Depart from us.

We were formed in the womb,
And being born;

The first cry! !
Like seeds by the wayside;
However, a tree is known by its own fruits.

Born out of fornication,
No wedding bells;
However, let all that you do today be done with love!
Like a polished bronze.

Oh life! !
My sorrows have overwhelmed me today,
However, five loaves of bread equals to twelve baskets of scraps.

Evil people do not understand judgement!
And when the wicked govern,
The people do mourn;

I am for peace but,
When i speak they are for war!
However, when the righteous in authority,
People rejoice.

Oh mountains! !
Hear my voice;
The rich man is wise in his own eyes.

To stand the test,
To understand life,
To be obedient in all things;
Affliction and anquish with many tears along the line!

Seeds by the wayside,
Born out of adultery!
Where lies the future?

The trap of the flowers,
By the wayside;

Years to salute you!
Even though, gone astray.

Love is not jealous,
Love is kind;

Oh western wall! !
Hear my cry;

Love is not boastful,
Love cares for others;

Quiet nights i do think of you,
True love never fails.
