C O P E Poem by Jim Boone

C O P E

And your corner of the world
Will smile on your struggle
A cool breeze may lift the
Exhaled situations and
Carry them away one by one

Balance the sparring and loving
With some degree of success
On fairly even terms and
Hope that unrecognized
Self-worth will not trip you up.

Face and deal with responsibilities
In a more than adequate way
Meat your demons head-on
Look them in the eye, shielded
By the armor of prayer
And lifted by faith's up-side

Knowing that after the break-downs
And losses, you will always be able
To survive, thrive, excel and cope.
