Cake Art Poem by Farina Afrin Malik

Cake Art

Soft, sweet, ready to eat
Gooey, chewy, icky-sticky treat
Cookies, cakes
and other wonderful bakes
Are the best way to start your day!

The mesmerizing scent of the batter
The dishes and pans all clatter
Lick the spoon they sing
As the oven timer begins to ding!

Chocholate, Vanilla and Buttercream
The bowls of frosting gleam
Once with the cakes combined
A slice of heaven we shall find!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I guess I find cake making to be immensely fun. It's always kind of like a dance in the kitchen. That's probably why I chose to portray it that way.
