Californians Poem by Mark Knapik

Californians

Rating: 5.0

You people
don’t know how lucky you got it;
Privileged.

Me, from back east, with the...
snow
humidity
flashfloods,

Envious.

Ten to fifteen inches of snow in a day;
Humidity at ninety, ninety-five percent;
Flash flooding with two to three inches of rain in an hour
already two, three times this July.

And the scenery; Let’s not forget the scenery,
Huh.

I’ll switch with you anytime.
