it is hard
to put our past behind us,
especially with
shame and guilt to remind us.
understand,
this is the way
god has designed us.

as hard as it is,
we must learn to forgive and forget,
no one wants to live in regret,
thinking about the what ifs.

please understand,
that our lives are worth it
we are only so blessed,
to be given something so perfect.
but why do we feel we have to hurt it?

we need to learn
that we shouldn’t live in past,
appreciate your lives,
for they do not last.

laugh, cry,
enjoy your lives,
we all need to realize,
we are all the same,
in His eyes.

for we all
have imperfections,
we all have been
in the wrong direction,
realized that
we need correction.
kick the habits,
don’t learn to accept them.

thank you,
for keeping me safe
through the mistakes I made,
I apologize,
it seems you I have betrayed,
yet you were
always there in aide.
I know you were listening
as I prayed...

to help me
along the life I was living,
I cant thank you enough,
for being so forgiving...
