Can'T Let You Go Poem by Zoby Cristal

Can'T Let You Go

You said so much without saying anything at all
I'd never thought school would be the reason we'd fall
I understand that it's important
But aren't we worth more
Our love was my escape
All i've been through, you took that away

I say i'm done
But everyone around me knows I can't let you go
There's something about you that makes you glow
I could write a million poems, a million rhymes
But none of it can say what i mean in due time

You destroyed my heart like a vine with thorns
Repeated slashings at my chest while i had to uphold
I'm bruised up and scarred
Trying to heal the pieces back with time
But no matter the hurt and consistent crimes
I'll jump back at it 'til the end of my time
