Can You? Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

Can You?

Can you find me in etudes?
Or in symphonies gyrating in revelries?
Can you?

If you can, then what dainty ears you have.
Can you find me in silver screens?
And in features that scowl upon the vista?
Can you?

If you can, then what callow eyes you have.
Can you find me in laughter?
That spins madly, in utter discrete youthfulness?
Can you?

If you can, then what satiric senses you have.
Can you find me in delusion?
A phantasm that escapes the accuracy of the world?

Can you?
If you can, then what disillusioned soul you possess.
Can you find me in these words?
These words that conceal the truest of intentions?

Can you, in these letters that shy away upon vision?
If you can, then what sensible thoughts you have.
You are a blinded masquerade,
And I am a lonely parade,

On the streets, under strobe lights like cars speeding,
Can you see me upon the reach of your core?
