Can You See Past The Mask Of Poor Judgment Poem by Kellyn, A Grau

Can You See Past The Mask Of Poor Judgment

With in the darkness lays an angel
Wrapped in blankets of past sins
Shed the darkness and clasp the hands of sunlight
See the truth through blind eyes
Open your heart again
See past all the imperfections
Born with a crime never committed
Exiled by fate when so poorly judged
So the path set before me
I lower my head
Hold shame upon my shoulders
And never look up at the gods
Disgrace is placed upon my hands
The death of a monster rings in my head
What crime have I committed?
What sin is plaguing my heart?
So I’ve been label with the title of betrayer
So I’ve been throw to the dogs
Will no one show me mercy?
Will no one see how pure my soul is?
Perhaps its against your better judgment
To understand whom I am
Perhaps you lack the knowledge
To take a closer look into your hands
For behind the mast of grotesque lies
Lays before you a maiden of impeccable beauty
A heart that desires to show its true form
Instead of heeding to the lies hung around it
So take the hand of truth and pull her to the light
Open up your eyes to see how wonderful she is
And take a step back to embrace everything
As the light illuminates her face
And you see the light shining down on her
As the angels place on her much deserved wings
Threw the vale of lies only truth can be seen
And your vision is restored to see everything
To understand what had happened to her
How false intentions and fake dreams
Destroyed her dignity and broke off her wings
But now the truth has finally be set free
No more shackles of fake sins
No more mourning for the light to shine
For now you see, all of me
