Canada. Day Poem by Kathryn Warren

Canada. Day

The crowd was so proud of the flag that flew,
they gathered for a peaceful celebration
to mark the birth of their nation, one-hundred-and-forty-nine years ago, and to greet Prime Minister Trudeau.
Snowbirds flew overhead, while pipebands played, ' Oh, Canada'
The spirit was truly moving, as songs and speeches gave meaning
to the richness and grandeur of this fair land.
