On the edge of this lush rain forest
with Arenal Volcano in view,
we prepare to climb to the tree-tops
and savor the scenery too.

One more adventure of a lifetime
it's the highlight of our trip, for sure.
Strapped into the safety harness:
a Costa Rican Canopy Tour!

A gentle nudge starts the journey
as we silently speed through the trees.
Look down to see flora and fauna
as we cut through the misty breeze.

An awesome adrenaline rush as
steel cables bring the next platform to you.
See toucans as I soar o'er the jungle.
Just mesmerized by the breath-taking view.

Overwhelmed by the vibrant green beauty
at 30 miles / hour your heart pounds.
Zip a thousand feet across the river
til the canopy tour reaches the ground.
