Cape Cod Poem by Nita T. Falby

Cape Cod

Rating: 4.3

Wading, plunging through the deep sand
Cape Cod sand is heavy ... hot
Little children slide the sand dunes
Sliding down to small lagoons.
There's the grand, wide blue Atlantic
Rolling restless near the shore.
and the grassy flatlands echo
With the sound of oceans, roar
Here I walk to Land's End slowly
Hearing lonely winds great wail
When the wind blows strong and fearsome
Without a tree to bar it's path
Cape Cod's sand dunes pile up golden
And the sea gulls lonely blatt.
Here I find a strange new feeling
Stealing through the ocean's roar
Here I find the awesome feeling
Of having been here once before.
