Captain - Poem by Lise Baudouin

O Captain
My Captain

whistle

forget your pain
I will respond to you

whistle

I'll never let you

You're my sun
You planted a tree for me
You carefully take care
Of it
Of me

O Captain
My Captain

I followed the star
You showed me
Doing this I found mine
Deeper in the sky
Further in the sea

O Captain
My Captain

The hero of my childhood
Poet, sailor and dreamer
My Dad
