Why do I have this continuing dream?
Can it be this good? Never worked before!
If it really consumes the heart and the soul
Why is it so easy to slam the door?

Why do I wake with a positive feeling?
Like everything’s going my way!
I jump on a pedestal outside my door
But it’s chiseled away by the end of the day

If love is perfect and love is good
Then why do we find so many times?
A fabric that easily comes unraveled
With a bitter taste like a bad shelf wine

If we give it the care and attention it needs
Will it fit our lives like a well made shoe?
How can I capture this gossamer nymph?
That would make a dream come true
