Caracas And Riyadh Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Caracas And Riyadh

Caracas and Riyadh

Many words have been said, have been sung
"If I were, if I were, if I were…"

They mean God
They mean him
If ever he exists.

It is time for me to
Say the same and repeat:
"I would send a thunder
To Riyadh and London
Destroy their leaders! "

I can see the pains in Caracas
I can feel and hear cries of
The hopeless teenagers
The thirsty, hungry
And jobless…

They hear they once lived:
"Happily everywhere! "

Someone must be blamed
Agony is endless
Their eyes see closest
Venezuela, Governors…

My friends you are right
But, please look beyond,
Read book of Jean Paul
Sartre, "Sugar in Cuba"
Single crop!

Your income has been oil
And oil is the round ball
In the court kicked around…

Now is turn for Bedu in city called Riyadh
The wild and the shoeless, waterless with Iqal
Who is rich, has palace, has planes with best cars
By kicking this devil exports the disaster all around.
