Carpet To Carpet 1812 Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Carpet To Carpet 1812

Carpet to carpet 1812

He
The friend who is my guest now
The man who has won prizes
Worldwide, all around
Needs to see Niagara.

I
His driver
His tour guide.

"1812"
I say and explain:
"Is a year to remember…"

And tell him of Napoleon
The mastermind of wars and success
Or the great failure! ! !
And Alexander of Russia:
"He landed in Paris and returned…"

Then tell him of the USA:
"They tried to annex Canada…"

I sigh
I sigh so deep that it burns:
"But the buried history was in the chest of those killed unwritten…"
And think of the families
Think of the children
And women raped
And
And
And

"And the indigenous was brave…"
I stop
Cannot not go on
But must:
"But they were dear until the Royals won…"
"Then back into the same misery…"
"That is all! "
