Carried Away Poem by Josh Burnett

Carried Away

I look deep into your eyes,
And I can see why my heart flies.
No matter how hard we try or don't try,
I know we'll never make us cry.
I know as we fly up up ever so high.
We won't ever have to say the goodbye,
Because we know exactly the reason why,
The love between us will never die.
Grab my hand and let's just spend our time.

I'm carried away on the wings of love.
I'm carried away on the wings of the dove.
I know that the pain will never rise above,
Because the happiness is etched in what we've done.
I'm carried away on the wings of love.

I think of the time we spend,
And I can truly say you're my god-sent,
And I could never tend to forget,
All the pain that our love's mend.
A dozen roses is what I would send,
Just to make you feel loved time and time again.
I hope that's a good enough reason to take my hand,
And make you feel like you want to be with this man.
I know our love will always want me to make a stand.

I'm carried away on the wings of love.
I'm carried away on the wings of the dove.
I know that the pain will never rise above,
Because the happiness is etched in what we've done.
I'm carried away on the wings of love.
