Carry The Sea Poem by Eddie Mitchell

Carry The Sea

Say goodbye to the midnight rain
and welcome back the snow.
Let you words run through my ears.
Let the River's flow.

What I saw.
Through the grape vine.
Were those words you said.
Just passing the time.

your eyes did the same as mine.
As you gripped again.
Is it just our imagination.
Show me all of them.

Can you see it now?
How our own ocean can exist?
Your heart is mine, it's under arrest.
Yet you try so hard to resist.

You are a sight to behold.
The Feet for my dance.
The music to my ears.
My gamble, my chance.

Let these waves crash once more.
And we'll just let the world go by.
This is our sky.
Time to fly.
