Castle Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Castle

Castle
King of solemn
Silences

Fiefdom of certain
Wraiths and ghosts
And shrouds

At night you light
In day
The sun lights you
Though
The Dawn be at the genesis of
Light.

You break the silences of the
Morn at night

Creaking,
Doors closing
Doors opening,
Windows closing
Windows opening
Windows after window
Lighting and lights
Put off
Alternately.
This the Castle…..
