I had a picture in my mind
Wisely crafted
I took my time
Purposely painting stunning hues
Striking in their pleasant views
My scene was tranquil and complete
Awed attention at my feet
And glowing eyes filled with devotion
Focused on my every motion
Framed in peace and void of fear
I built my dreams of later years
Upon foundations firm and grounded
Assured triumphant feats abounded
Pristine panoramic ‘scape
Sheltering me beneath its cape
A comforting yet false illusion
Erected based upon delusion
Picturesque and so serene
I wish it had not been a dream
My life is great
Don’t misconstrue
Yet still, I’m sad it wasn’t true

I am sorry too. This is pretty poor. H
