Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet (16 December 1943 / Nottingham)
Cataract Operation Day
Dedicated to The Eye Unit at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, U.K.
I had two hours sleep,
And two hours more,
Before the cab came to the door,
To take me to Addenbrookes, where
A Cataract Procedure be done there,
By Mr Kerr-Muir, a Surgeon friend,
Whose skills of me would take care,
To remove the cataract,
And implant a lens,
To make my eyesight better again.
So my Musings can once more be spoke,
To share my thoughts and sights,
And in verse be wrote.
