Cathy (2) Poem by rita bitar

Cathy (2)

I cried today. That was hard, but human.
Humanity is hard, humans are complicated, but at least we get to be part of this entity.
This is my first death. I felt nothing. Just sitting there. Nothing matters anymore, really. My mind is blank my eyes stay still not moving.
Solitude isn't my friend, that can't help me.
If happiness gives rise to pain, then I'd be smiling right now.
June thoughts.
