Cell- Phones Poem by Jan Oskar Hansen

Cell- Phones

Cell-phones
I sat in the doctor`s waiting room
while my wife was (as they used to say)under the doctor.
The room was packed everyone sat looking at their phone
and there were no magazines to read.
I stole a glance at the cell-phone a lady next to me
was looking at, family photos from yesterday`s party
Everyone was taking a picture of everyone else.
At the party, did they have time to eat the food, someone
had taken pictures of that as well it is frightening to
think people don`t know what is real unless they can see
how good time they had at the gathering.
