Cestrum Nocturnum Poem by Aarzoo Mehek

Cestrum Nocturnum

Rating: 4.8

My body wakes up
In response
To the warmth
Of your body
Seeking solace
Cosily entwined
In each others arms
Much the same as
The snake entwines
Night blooming cestrum nocturnum
Intoxicated by its fragrance.

Intense fragrance of the 'Night blooming cestrum nocturnum' is truly intoxicating. I have heard that the snakes are attracted by its fragrance, but I wonder when the snakes 'entwine', if they get as warm as the humans. Loved your poem.5 Stars*****!

! What should I call it? Romance or a serpentine adventure under the spell of its favourite fragrance? An exquisite imagery: The snake entwines Night blooming cestrum nocturnum Intoxicated by its fragrance.
