Chahat Bekaboo Hone Lagi

meri har subha jo mehki si thi.
pehle se ab kuch behki si thi,
shayad koi andaja nhi tha mujko,
par meri arzoo kuch sehmi si thi.

na jane kyu hua ye sab
meri sanso me kyu becheni si thi
kuch karta byan par dar sa lga.
is ishq ki wajha sargoshi si thi.....

har raj chupa aur gehra hua.
har bat matlab sa khone lagi.
phir dum sa ghuta aur rha na gya,
jab chahat bekaboo hone lagi,

ek rat hui aur bat hui,
aur lamho ki sulgan badne lagi
phir hua wahi jo hona na tha,
dil toota aur hasrat rone lagi.
