Chained Freedom Poem by Jean Carlos Acosta Amador

Chained Freedom

I crave the silence in your voice, I yearn for chaos in your calm,
I long to be the anchor in the stormy seas you've drawn.
In the warmth of your absence, I find solace, yet I ache,
You're the fire and the ice, the contradiction I can't break.

I miss the colors in your darkness, I want to feel your gentle rage,
To walk along the edges of the life that we once made.
You're my endless mystery, my past, my now, my endless season,
You're the symphony that plays when all the notes have gone astray.

Oh, you're the whisper in the wind, the secret I can never hold,
The puzzle piece that fits but somehow doesn't make me whole.
I'm lost within the memories, the ones we made, the ones we'll never,
You're the dream I cannot catch, forever near, but far away forever.

So let me be the shadows in your light, the silence in your sound,
I'll be the missing heartbeat in the rhythm that we've found.
For in this bittersweet embrace, I'll find my truth, my destiny,
You're the one who sets me free, yet binds me to this endless reverie.
