Chained To The Memories Poem by Brandon Wade

Chained To The Memories

here laid to rest is the truth of it all,
tied to the darkness is my heart and my soul,
i did everything and anything for you,
now im a slave, chained to the memories.....

it started with an unusual afternoon,
id wasted a lifetime toiling away in my room,
when a desperate voice called out to me,
more a plea, to see, through the darkness, she......
took my soul and left my body behind,
a torturous process for my weak and mangled mind,
she brought out of me something id never seen,
while she rotted away surrounded by her own screams.....

this was surly a destiny that wouldnt last,
it spread through my heart like broken glass,
i couldnt imagine not being next to her ever again,
when i understood thats the way it should have been....
every smile led to a touch here and a touch there,
but life has its own paradox, and i wasnt aware,
the rain always transformed us into the truth,
where we gave away our lifes in the form of youth.....

that kiss is always eclipsing my mind,
if i could only go back in time, and rewind,
i did everything and anything for you,
now im a slave, chained to the memories......

im incomplete........like the road that led me to you.....
im left on this street.......im still waiting......into
darkness i go

thanks to reliant k
