Challenges Of Life Poem by Larry B. Stell

Challenges Of Life

Rating: 3.0

As time goes on the tasks eternally grow
Life moves forward, the challenges complex
Then like melting snow, memories descend
And their sweetness ascend in the mind
While challenges mount with change,
But are met with age so wise, while before
Our youthful minds saw them as fleeting moments
Of inane conflicts, slowing down our progress
But now challenges become the trials of life,
Asserting their restrictions and impugning
Our momentum that once prevailed
And elevated our lives toward momentous goals
Eternally imbued by nature’s cloak, veiled
By the challenges ubiquitous, but always there!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is a poem I wrote after I retired from teaching abroad 25 years. I settled down to writing, finding solitude and satisfaction via writing.
