Change - Poem by Raven Corvix

The soul seasons with
each passing day
She is the mistress of her choice
Telling us how to act and see
She does not feel
fear or love
except in extremity
The heart grows
with every passing
It controls us
like a machine
as if a ghost
Forcing us into emotions
of love and fear
It is our daemon
The mind strengthens
with every passing
It indulges us to communicate
noticing right from wrong
These twined together
give us the will
to live
After time and pressure
like a lump of coal
Everything changes
Becoming a diamond
Or just more
fragmented stone
