It seems to me the worlds gone mad
Things now are good that once were bad
These shifting values make me sad
Society’s is out of hand
These changes I don’t understand
I feel I’m in a foreign land
I know that I am getting old
impatient, frail and feeling cold
Yet my values I will always hold
For they are what made me

Thank you for your poems. While I can't say that I necessarily share your values, I appreciate your appreciation for 'old style' rhyming verse and lyrical flow. 'These shifting values make me sad'...but why? How is morality not relativistic, a mere social contract, if you don't believe in G-d? Perhaps we have extremely different definitions, (most likely the case) , but to me this poem borders on the incomprehensible.
