Chasing The Dream Poem by Josephine E. Cochran

Chasing The Dream

Cool river waters, refreshing my feet.
Pine scented air smelling fresh and sweet.

Sitting here relaxing and gazing,
spending my time dreaming and dazing.

Dogwood and redwoods, make a beautiful view,
enjoying the scenery while watching you.

Hovering above me hundreds o' dragonflies,
While you're out there chasing, butterflies.

Running and climbing with grace and ease,
trying to photograph them, Will one stop please!

How can this happen, how can this be,
as you run out of sight, one lands on my knee.
