Cheaters Poem by Aram Stefanian

Cheaters

Rating: 5.0

I met with a little boy in the cemetery
Who was kneeling at a grave and weeping
When he said his folks had died, I was dreadfully sorry
He didn't think they were now in safe keeping

''The angels are cheaters, and they don't care
I'm abandoned, unhappy and brokenhearted
To live all alone it is too unfair
Life is crude, and the real world is distorted''

I asked him if I could help in a small way
He said, ''I have played no game for long
What about hide-and-seek? You see fit to play?
Come on, then, look for me, but don't go wrong! ''

I searched for the kid, bit he was nowhere to be found
After roaming around, I came back to the grave
It gave me the creeps when I looked around
It was my name on the stone, a place for me to save
