Cherry Red Eden Poem by Michael Cook

Cherry Red Eden

Rating: 5.0

Cherry red tongue now stained
In mirror of the dark boy's fame
Rhododendron, one with the dark leaf
The main course at Winter's Eve feast

Prongs and piety framed above
Simple and course, yet but in love
Remember the meadows of the fall
Before the time, before the fall

True to fate; true to calm
With life force and stained lawn
Before the time of Winter's feast
Before the time, before the beast

Cherry and mirror framed above
The future brings one great love
Remember the meadows of the Fall
Before the time, before the fall

-For the sacrifice, for the noble, for the leader of nature's struggle
