Chewed And Swallowed Poem by Dustin Dean

Chewed And Swallowed

A personality is deceiving towards
A broad amount abroad
Keeping us separate from them
Makes everything seem outlawed
Discomfort seethes into cracks
I feel myself start to crumble
You gnaw into my hidden mobile
And I am in an emotional stumble

Guilt is just another past time
For all of the senseless lowlifes
But it doesn't make a difference
When motives turn into strifes
Food is short, life is scarce
I refuse to be on the other side
Faces surround me of difference
Whatever could I choose for a side?

There's nothing inside
But outdated memories
And new enemies
I claw onto the carpet
As they drag me into another oblivion
How could a superior feel anything
Just for another civilian?
I realize my fate, swallow my pride
And say hello to hell

Painted red and black
I feel chewed and swallowed
Tainted as damned tonsils
I feel so short and sore
An actual warning has spoken
Listening for a token
I am unknowingly blindsighted
Selling out to stupidity

Their parade is going so perfectly
Who could miss it?
The puppet strings are so obvious
Who could miss them?
Please help them live their dreams
But don't help yourself
It was never meant to be
All of the lies, lullabies, rockabyes
Never meant to be
