Chiaroscuro Poem by Eddie Roa

Chiaroscuro

Rating: 5.0

Shadows now cast east
With somber grays quaking on the grass
It seems only a while t’ was noon
And the sun shone bright
Without the specter of the dark

Mottled silver streaks in the east declare
That day will soon expire
Look west and pine
The dazzle of puffery and youthful loves
Now gray, black, shadowy and stark
