Child Of Wind Poem by Amanda Barner

Child Of Wind

Oh child of wind
Can you hear the sound
The sound of angel's wings?
Child of wind
In this blissfulness
Can you take me through the town?

Finally here
I am
With you alone.
This happiness
Is a chill up my bone.
You are my home.

See the poster there
It's a picture of you
With your long bony arms
And empty eyes too.
You smiled at me
On that trodden hill.
You were tired of life
So you went for a thrill.

Oh child of wind
In the moon at night
I can see your hair
Waving through the light
And I wait for you
On this broken swing
Can you hear me child of wind
Do my words mean anything?

Oh whispering wind
Your child is here.
Can you tell by my scent
That I'm only made of fear.
Tell me you'll regret what you did last time
And I said right back
It's no worry of mine.

You're a child of wind
You're the last thing I've got.
You're dreams to posses
Were mine to refine.
You're the very last thing that I've got to hold
Child of wind can't you see
You're my only home.
