Childhood Poem by Jess Cox

I remember when i was young,
I used to run around like a mad thing,
I used to play about with dolls,
I used to eat alot of sweets.

I used to go to bed really early,
I used to play just outside my house,
I used to play in our sheds,
pretnding that i was a dolls mum,

But now it is time for me to grow,
I can't play in sheds,
Pretending to be a dolls mum,
I don't go to bed early any more.

I can't really rely on my mum any more,
I have to stand up for myself,
Be a new person,
Not the child i used to be!
