Christ didn’t come to rid the world
Of problems and travail;
Sin came in because of man
And sufferings prevail.
Religion isn’t panacea
For world’s strife, woes galore;
Christ came to forgive sinners
Opening heaven’s door.
Christ suffered death on the cross
Resurrected third day;
Christians too must suffer loss
To be in heaven’s way.
God gave freedom to all men
To think and act on own;
Don’t blame religion for woes,
And make yourself a clown.
