Christmas 87
I hear in my head
As fresh as was when
Was in a rented car.
Toronto-Chicago
And many years ago.
Waited my wife and kids,
Daughter and older son,
And I was on my way
To join for Christmas.
Then, she was pregnant…
All the way, music
I listened, crazy…
Far above the speed,
I drove nonstop,
Except for urgent needs.
Surprised and happy
United family…
Now, recall exactly
All details, as if is
In a picture, painting.
She gave birth to a son
And he is lawyer now.
Wow! What a Christmas Gift! That only He can give! Loved the poem. A heart full of wishes for Christmas
