Christmas Ballroom Poem by Matthew Holloway

Christmas Ballroom

The lights upon the houses and streets
Illuminate this Christmas ballroom
the music and carols play out
the seasonal celebration to all
the gatherings of friends, family
and colleagues, casual contacts
raise toasts and laughter
conversation looks ahead
to the year which awaits
as well as the recent memories
of another year nearly passed
rich food and drink shall flow
some not all shall wish and hope
let is snow, let it snow, let it snow
