Cigarette Dawn Poem by Jeffrey T. Bender

Cigarette Dawn

Oh light of the East
What wonder doth I behold upon the morn?
A beauty my eyes doth rarely partake.
The glory of God in all His splendor.
A picture of awe He paints 'cross the sky
In hues of glorious white, red, and blue.
'Tis hard to believe that such a marvel exists.
I sit in amazement, and think of His face.
My soul is aflame, with His amazing grace.
With smile upon my lips, I bask in its warmth.
Whilst light fills the world, bringing life to my eyes.
