Circus Victims Poem by Ima Ryma

Circus Victims

Humans take far too much delight
In watching animals perform,
That often do exist in plight,
Maltreated by trainers as norm.
No animal, be wild or tame,
Should have to be subjected to
Human exploiting with the aim
Of making more profits accrue.
These animals do have no voice
In how they will be treated by
Humans, they are given no choice
But do their tricks until they die.

If live bodies need to be used,
Let willing humans be abused.
